spacing fields

Vector field

Set the space between a tag's border and the content around it.

Applies to...

• audio tag
• box tag
• button tag
• checkBox tag
• choiceBox tag
• clientFrame tag
• console tag instance
• ellipse tag
• img tag
• input tag
• line tag
• span tag
• table tag
• tabRow tag
• video tag

Sample usage

• <box spacing=0.5,em {...}> leaves space on all four sides, outside the border.
• <box spacingTop=1,em {...}> leaves space above the box only.

Behaviour

spacing sets all four sides. spacingTop, spacingRight, spacingBottom and spacingLeft set one side each. Each takes a distance (see width for units).

Notes

ioL's spacing is the space outside the border, which web design calls margin. For space inside the border, use margin.
