margin fields

Vector field

Set the space between a tag's border and its contents.

Applies to...

• audio tag
• box tag
• button tag
• checkBox tag
• choiceBox tag
• clientFrame tag
• console tag instance
• ellipse tag
• img tag
• input tag
• line tag
• span tag
• table tag
• tabRow tag
• video tag

Sample usage

• <box margin=1,em {...}> adds space on all four sides, inside the border.
• <box marginLeft=2,em {...}> adds space on the left only.

Behaviour

margin sets all four sides. marginTop, marginRight, marginBottom and marginLeft set one side each. Each takes a distance (see width for units).

Notes

ioL's margin is the space inside the border, which web design calls padding. For space outside the border, use spacing.

The console itself has a small margin by default; <console.margin 0> removes it.
